Plan B

I know they are called B Plan sails, but I really think the Solo Association missed a trick - surely they should be Plan B sails?

Anyway - my new sails from Edge have arrived (!), so here is a look at the B Plan sail. TBH I didn't know much about B Plan sails - it turns out that they use exactly the same length battens as the normal sail but minus the bottom one. Makes sense, of course.

My B Plan sail was made from the sail I ripped in a capsize a few months ago. Jon Clarke at Edge Sails offers a service where he re-cuts old or damaged sails to make a B Plan one. I will try it out when I get a chance, but meanwhile here are a couple of pictures ⛵
